We need to first understand wellness before we decify a particular type which is known as Physical Wellness. Wellness is defined as a state of being in good health and actively pursuing it as a commitment.

However physical wellness is caring for your body by implementing the following: residing in a safe place, choosing to consume healthy foods, adequate sleep and exercising.

Importance of Physical Wellness

  • Physical activity: includes exercising that is not required to be vigorous. Perform at your desired comfort level. As well as yoga, running, dancing, bike riding or sports are great forms of physical activity. Physical activity is paramount to stronger bones and muscles.
  • Nutrition: variety of nutrients and vitamins intercepts illness and keep the body functioning at its best.
  • Mental well-being: Proper nutrition along with physical activity boosts overall emotional wellness. It also sharpens learning abilities and strengthen self esteem and self control.

Tips to Physical Wellness

  • Engage in thirty minutes of physical activity daily
  • Retain regular sleep schedule at least 7-9 hours nightly.
  • Recognize warning signs when body is ill.
  • Practice safe sex
  • Consume variety of healthy foods and be mindful of portion sizes.

To sum it up creating and maintaining physical wellness is an asset to our lives. We need to make a concious effort, to do all in our power to care for our bodies by a combination of nutrients, vitamins, adequate sleep, healthy foods and environment, consistent physical activity and all those I neglected to mention but you are fully aware of.

After all we depend heavily on our bodies as a rare commodity, because when the body does breakdown we are then limited in numerous ways. So please be mindful we only have one body and it deserves optimal care and consideration. One love
