Up until this experience I had heard all the hype about this sizzling city called Las Vegas. Well beautiful people as curiosity would have it I was not a believer until I came, seen and conquered to tell the tale. Sit back, relax and enjoy while you take this journey with me. I desired a getaway that would be monumental and bring me the much needed reset and relax settings, since this past two years and counting cabin fever refused to let us be. Vegas fitted the ideal birthday gift to myself; I was filled with gratitude to see another year through this trying worldwide epidemic. Let us take in a bit of the city’ history before we get into the juicy details.

History

Las Vegas was founded on May 15, 1905. Las Vegas was established as a railroad town when the completion of the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad linked with Southern California and Salt Lake City. Mayme Stocker of the Northern club was issued the first gaming license in Nevada. In 1931 Hoover Dam was developed which brought an influx of construction workers. El Rancho was the first themed resort on the strip, followed by the Last Frontier in 1942, then in 1946 Flamingo and then Thunderbird in 1948.

In 1995 the Fremont Street experience emerged. This experienced showcased spectacular lights and sound show for visitors. Despite the recent recession; according to Forbes standards Las Vegas is the eleventh fastest growing metropolitan area. Vegas is known for the highest marriage and divorce rates in the United States. As well as the highest foreclosure rates and largest inventories of vacant home.

Las Vegas is known internationally for gaming, shopping, fine dinning and buzzing nightlife. The 4.2 mile stretch known as the strip is the place to be!! It is impossible to visit Las Vegas without experiencing the strip. That strip is literally visiting a million countries in one setting. Vegas to date has a population of 662,501 and it is estimated at a size of 141.85 square miles.

Oh la la!! Go big or Go home is the best description of this Mecca of a city. I was in adventure heaven the first day I graced these Vegas streets. I was prepared for a city with a loud personality but I was still in awe of the architecture of these hotels, the detailing replication of each city. Not only does the hotels depict these various cities precisely but the hotel itself is an attraction. Then you have other attractions within the hotel such as a secret garden, volcano eruption, fountain display, bird haven, flamingo playground and more. I did not have enough hours in a day to explore and that kept me intrigued.

Then you have on the entertainment scene; shows running day and night omgeeee I was in my new favorite place where there is always some exciting activity to engage in. Look up BEAUTIFUL in the dictionary and Las Vegas at night will be the definition; the city is absolutely stunning at night. Do I have to leave this place ??? was my first thought every morning. Then we have the dinning experience, let me tell; no matter your current diet, there is something for you in these amazing restaurants.

My highlights for this birthday trip was the detailing architecture, amazing food, nature segment (fountain shows, secret garden, volcano display). Easy access to everything was amazing!! I could be in the pool at 2pm then on a gondola at 4pm then watching a live show with a famous celebrity at 6pm..the good life!! Yes I!

This birthday trip was indeed a blast. Happy earth strong to me!!I feel so blessed I was able to have this experience and celebrate life. Of all my travel adventurers Las Vegas has gained a top spot as one of the best. Vegas has something for all ages; families, singles and couples. This is a place I can visit over and over and still be engaged, intrigued and filled with excitement. For those who have not visited, put in on your bucket list people, you will not regret. Thank you beloveds for your love, support and feedback. Love and Light xxoo
